He follows the examples of impressionism, expressionism, fauvism and abstract expressionism.  He is a self-taught artist. During his very early artistic period he studied techniques as visiting the ateliers of several well established Bulgarian artists.

Inspired by the infinite planes of Dobrudzha ( his birthplace ), he mastered the depth of the intimate landscapes he creates. He is working with layers of oil paint, using palette knife to emphasize the light of the painting and brushes.

“To me, painting is a heartbeat, love, perception, impetus, state, mood, experience. At times spontaneous, but always created with an open soul.”

Georgi Petrov artworks could be found in a private and public collections all over the world and
His works were exhibited in solo and group exhibitions in Europe and USA.
